DeJaNeal (daysha neel) believes healthy goals are achieved through practical planning, accountability, and self-awareness. She is an advocate for mental health, a Positive Psychology & Financial Principles Coach, AriBnB Owner, Procurement Professional, fiance, and sister. She enjoys working with her clients to find practical solutions that transform their situations through healthy identity, core values, and understanding of individual strengths & areas to improve.
DeJaNeal was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. As a child, she was responsible, intuitive, nurturing, and confident. She enjoyed cheerleading, dancing, and serving in her church and community. In high school, DeJaNeal was an active leader in the competitive cheerleading program, served as a peer tutor, student ambassador, and Miss Birmingham 2014. She received acceptance to Georgetown University upon graduating from Spain Park High School in 2015 and moved to Washington, D.C. that fall with dreams to study in the Nation’s capital. She pursued journalism, pre-dental sciences, and ultimately would complete her Bachelor’s in Healthcare Management and Policy in 2019.
Upon graduating with her Bachelor’s degree, DeJaNeal began serving full time in the Office of the CFO as a Contract’s Manager. She was promoted in 2020 to the Strategy Analyst role, and has helped develop and streamline University-wide procurement processes. Her professional expertise includes:
• Management of multiple indirect procurement commodities, some being: Medical Supplies, Events & Travel, Marketing & Social Platforms, and Educational Tools, utilizing Workday, EY, DocuSign, iCertis, full Microsoft Suite
• Project management of University-wide cost savings initiatives and incentive tracking metrics recapturing over $4,000,000 FY19-YTD
• Data Analytic Performance and Business Processes Improvements Initiatives that increase stakeholder engagement and improve supplier relations
• Contract Life-cycle Management of ~150 preferred supplier relationships
• Negotiation of Master Service Agreements based on University spend behavior to realize category cost savings
• Serves as a liaison for University stakeholders and has the necessary data analysis, negotiation, project management, customer engagement, and supplier management skills required to lead large-scale sourcing initiatives.
